Default My experience at AMS..

Hey guys,

I recently had the car over at AMS, and left it with VUK to install some mods.
I just wanted to share with you guys some pics of what I got done.

I ended up purchasing a new AMS RAD, AMS Shortshifter and a set of AMS Pulleys.

I can say that all of the items are made extremely well and they do make a difference on the car.

Here is the thickness of the OEM RAD

Here is the thickness of the AMS Rad

Now for the Pulleys! These were a huge wieght savings off the crank, I think Vuk said it was like a 5lb difference. I find that it increased the throttle response of the car big time, especially during the low RPM's.

The short shifter I found a little stiff at first, compared to the OEM one, but I got used to it over the past day or so.

Vuk is also offering fellow board members special pricing on these parts, if anyone is wondering.

Overall I just wanted to let everyone know, that I had a very positive experience at his shop, and he definitely knows his stuff, which is why AMS will be doing so more mods to my car!

If anyone has any questions or whats to see the parts, PM me.

Alvin

Is the pulleys stock size? 5lb difference for the AMS pulleys, but what about UR's?

Default Thanks Alvin! Much Obliged!

Another satisfied Z owner Providing tuning/service to Z's since 1992!

The rad offers the Z huge cooling advantages over the puny stock unit. It will fit most forced induction kits with little trimming as well. We've even had them fitted on the Turbonetics kit with spal fans vs. OEM. Great success with these especially at current specials!

As for the AMS Pulley kit it is a Stock-Sized replacement vs UR. The advantage of this is obvious as that the accessories are kept at OEM output levels. Example the water pump is driven at the same speed and the alternator out put-is the same! No worries for the audio guys either! Stock belt is retained as well!

The performance is gained from the reduction in mass. Stock Main Crank weighs in at approx. 6.3 lbs while the AMS unit is 1.84 lbs! When combined with the AMS Alternator Pulley and AMS Water Pump Pulley the weight savings are 5.06 lbs! Expect up tp 12 hp gains due to the crank weight savings when factoring in the standard equation of 1lb shaved off the crank =2.7 hp!

Pulleys are also fully balanced and anodized black for a protective finish! Main Crank also has a metal sleeve to provide for a leak free main seal!

Currently sold out and more coming in late Sep. I will have some on display at Zcon in Daytona!

AMS parts are available direct or through our US Master Disributor Z1 Motorsports.

Hope I've answered some questions?

Regards,

Vuk@AMS

Default MSRP is $325 US for the Kit....

When our next batch arrives we will work out a very sweet deal for all the local Z's! Likely in the mid's 200's for the first dozen or so units. If interested I have begun a waiting list for the next batch.

Default AMS parts.....

Hey guys,

We definitely will be making all sorts of stuff for the 07 and up 350Z's and G's sometime next year.

We even have our eyes set on the GTR when released!

As for the current parts we have a bunch of rads in-stock for the 350Z/G35
Pulley kits should be here after Zcon! Anyone interested can contact us directly anytime. We've also been testing alot of other products scheduled for release in the New Year!
