somewhere within the boundaries of 80k'ish is more reasonable..

btw shift paddles are so much fun. i know you people who've been stick shifting for a long time might take some time to adjust (if you do get the GTR) but it's definitely fun. you get that F1 feeling when ur flooring it down the highway :P

The reason the went with a direct shift transmission is because it wont loose boost between shifts.

either way, it's still not as fun and the good ol' manual transmission. I couldn't care less about .000000001 nanosecond shifts.

Don't you mean into the U.S?

If you are a Nissan franchise, how would Nissan feel about you selling unofficially imported vehicles?

Well the price is official but it can be determined by a dealership as to how much of a premium they add.

the cars that we will be bring from the US will be registered or will be registered in the US for more than 6 months, therefore they are imported - Nissan will then honor the factory warranty!

Are you saying you your dealership is getting as many official imports as possible OR they are importing euro models? There is a difference.

Not sure why you would not know the price.......
LOS ANGELES — Nissan announced today that its 2009 Nissan GT-R will be priced at $69,850 for the base model, and $71,900 for the Premium trim. Both prices include delivery charges.
Carlos Ghosn announced it at the L.A. Autoshow. www.gtrnissan.com.

By the way, I still maintain that what you were trying to say is that the dealerships have not determined what premiums they will add on.

IIRC... Mr. Ghosn only announced the US price.
Like one poster already said, because it is an import to either Canada or the US there will be two distinct prices (not based on US exchange rate) based on applicable duties -- which I believe in Canada is 6% for a Japanese manufactured auto. This fact is independent of what dealers will charge... as you could say the same for US dealers.

So they'll be used vehicles? Plus how do you expect to get them from the US do you not think they'll want to retail them to customers? Supply certainly wont be high.

Anyways all the power to you I'd love to see more in Canada anyway.

Have you guys made the call to upgrade your dealership to carry the GT-R yet?
