Default Your first car/truck?

Mine was a 1974 Ford Pinto and paid $800 for it from my Aunt. I was 18, it was such a long time ago. For those young guys that don't know what this car was just google it.

It was my first and only moded car until I got my Z last spring. (it's been a long wait to spend money on a modded car so this year was catch up time).

When I got the Pinto it was white, with orange vinyl roof and auto. (yuk) I worked at a Stereo shop and put in a bad *** stereo for the time with EQ, custom dash moded in fibre glass with oil, temp, and another gauge I can't remember right now. The Auto had to go so in went a 4 speed with a cool wooded shift **** haha. Centre dash mounted skull with green lights that went on with the turn signals and yup fuzzy dice LOL. Lots and Lots and Lots of bondo and some sheet metal becuase these cars rusted like crazy! Painted in a metalic brown with a square and arrow thing on the hood. It had Orange vinly interior, guess that's why I like the burnt orange seats in my Z.
My Dad helped me do all the work in our garage.

I thought it was so cool. Sometimes I raced a buddy's VW rabbit on the back roads. Ohh we were so fast with a top speed about 95mph. The car got rear ended latter and pushed into another car while on a date. We were fine but there was bondo everywhere. That was the end of her.

97 Camry LE 4 cyl.

Learned a lot about cars from it, damn reliable daily driver.
I sold it with 215***km's. My mom saw the car again at pmall the other day, so we know it's still running

Oh yeah, I had one green LED tube that flashes to music beats, the color matched the cluster perfectly too! I also had a JVC MP3 CD deck, it's awesome listening to 1000 songs on one CD. 6 CD changer on our Z ftl...

95 VW Golf GL...got it as a hand me down from my brother when he upgraded. learned to drive manual in this baby

loved that thing...though it's been broken into twice at the go-train station to and the only mod was a $200 stereo (if that).

Top speed was 130km/h haha, and it could only really reach it if it was going on a decline and i'm the only one in the car hahaha. good times!

1972 Datsun 240Z.. painted British racing green with two gold stripes across the hood. The floor pans were rusted out in the following year... repaired it and then sold it for same price I bought it for -- $3000.
It had a racing cam and twin Weber side draft carbs -- fast off the line and allowed me to get 6 speeding tickets in the first year.
Unfortunately I had many electrical problems and replaced many components... it was in the garage it seemed more than on the road.

But like first love... it didn't matter what went wrong with the car... I loved it anyway.

I wonder how people can afford nice cars for their first car. I drove a shitbox for my first. I paid $1000 and I found it expensive.
