So when does your car become rice when you mod it anyway?

Rims, Tires, (Volks of course) Is that Rice?
Body kit, Vertex, Nismo, Siebon, Chargespeed Is that Rice?
Tinted windows Rice?
Carbon fiber ? Rice?

Or does it take a bunch of these together?

I think my car is going in the "Rice" direction with this new Chargespeed body kit and the seibon CF hood but I like it.

To me fiber glass body fill type dashes and video screens everywhere is pure Rice, Cheapo parts in poor taste, Rice. (Canadian tire CF stick on parts would qualify for that). HUGE wings Rice uless you race and need them, Painted calepers, meh maybe rice if a crappy job and bad color.

i've always said my car is rice since it's mostly show almost no go haha.

but since you have power to go with the show, I can't see how the chargespeed kit is going to be rice.

Rice is a total judgement call.
It's dependant on who is doing the evaluating.
There are some universal constants in modifying sports cars.
Brainstorming.....
In terms of appearance.
Full wheel wells look good.
No wheel/ body gap looks good.
Body low to the ground looks good.
Low roof height with a wide body always looks good.
Smooth lines in harmony with the design of the car look good.
High quality materials and paint look good.
Clean spotless cars look good.
Well fitted panels devoid of ripples and gaps looks good.
A sporty exhaust note, and lots of power are always appreciated.
When you stray from those sacrificing for time or cost, what often results is rice. The further you go the more rice results.

I don't think your car will be rice at all dave. Everything done is top of the line, and has a constant theme.

Thanks guys, I was getting a little worried I was going to far with changes.

Maybe Siebon CF front Fenders next year and just leave the venting section CF with the rest Black. Will that still fit the theam? Maybe a slightly larger wing on the back and thats it for the outside.

I like to seperate every piece and give it a RICE factor rating
definition of RICE

J's Rice Factor rating

BLITZ catback exhaust = 6/10 rice factor
T&E Vertex Full kit = 7/10 rice factor
Stolen S2k atenna = 0/10 rice factor
Volks SF Winning = 7/10 rice factor
JDM Kouki Clear Taillight = 10/10
Being an asian = 10/10

= 66.7% rice factor
