I've been working evenings this week.

I just spoke to my realestate agent. He said there is "another second showing" this Saturday as well.

A real threat to my home buying experience, or just another typical salesman move?

Very typical. Yet sometimes fact.
I put an offer in on a house as the owner was signing another offer. Missed it by about 10 minutes - and my offer was slightly higher. My agent was irritated that the sellor's agent didn't make him wait!

apparently the housing market (in the GTA at least) has softened in the last 6 months, so i don't see why you should feel pressured into buying a home when there should be ample supply at the moment.

Ample supply, does not automatically mean you will find the house you want....Buying a house is SERIOUS BUSINESS, just like the internet..

true, but it's better than the alternative where you may feel pressured into buying something you don't necessarily want only because there's so little supply and huge demand.

good example was the condo market in the yonge finch/sheppard area where people were snatching them up like candy cuz it was apparently "hot" to live in that area, or hot to buy and then re-sell/rent out.

at any rate, mike you should get a place in toronto so we can have a hang out spot on friday nites wayne has his own place, but he's too busy for us, so we resort to sbc
