Cause I want my oil changes done at the dealer until the car is out of warranty, and they charge too much for a synth change. The benefits of using synth, are just longer intervals, so I do mine on short intervals instead.

^^ you can bring synthetic oil to the dealer and have them change it for you (although i don't see a point in doing that). church had his revup replaced under warrenty and he never went to the dealer for oil changes.

I had mine replaced at the start of '08 and sold her a few months later.
I would think that you could easily go 3500km-5000km on dino oil before needing a change. After my engine replacement I swapped the oil out after 3500km and did not loose a drop.
If you really want to know if you've got a consumer, change to synthetic oil and check it every 1000/ km.. Synthetic oil will definitely show you "what da fawk is up" with your revup...

Yeee-haw! That's some serious ***-hauling!
And I guess mine isn't affected by it, or not as drastically. If I lost anywhere near 1L/500km, on my average interval of 2-2.5k I'd lose a pretty obvious amount of oil, and mine still reads full. Yay! Misaki is a good girl

The Tib was made of fail. It had THE most awkward clutch I've ever felt in my life and the brakes sucked. It wasn't a bad car otherwise, but I really want to enjoy, or atleast tolerate driving, and clutch take up and brake feel play a huge role in that. I'm gonna go check out a Civic soon, sadly it has 2 doors too many, but I'm hoping that it's the model with power steering, I really hate the fact that pretty much all the hatches come with no PS.

It was a fairly new one, a 2000. It had the dual circle lights. I'm sure that Tiburons are not a bad car, but this one had definitely seen better days.
And the Civic worked out, tomorrow, I'll be the proud owner of a 93 Civic sedan!
This car completely blew my mind, it is one of the mintest cars I've ever driven (I'd rank it after the G, and my dad's 2008 Toyota Matrix) It has a few rust bubbles on the outside, but that's about it. The paint is in otherwise great shape, the interior is flawless, the steering, brakes, shifter, clutch, everything feels new. Pretty low mileage for a car it's age too, 220k on it. Either way, for 2 grand cash, I'm happy, this car has a ton of life left in it, and will continue to serve me for years to come.

A Toronto mother has been charged with street racing after police spotted a car driving through a school zone at more than 100 km/h.
Police say the woman was driving a Volvo yesterday morning just after 8:30 a.m. near a school and daycare on Mt. Pleasant Rd. at Elm Ave. when she was pulled over.
She told officers she was on her way home to pick up her son and take him to the daycare, said Toronto police Sgt. Tim Burrows.
Police radar had recorded the car zooming through the 50-km/h zone at 101 km/h.
“She was travelling at a horrendous speed,” said Burrows.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was charged with street racing under the Provincial Highway Traffic Act. Her driver’s license has been suspended and her car impounded for seven days.
If convicted, she faces a fine of between $2,000 and $10,000.
The driver was charged under the street racing legislation because she was travelling so much faster than the other traffic, Burrows said. “ She was pulling away from others at warp speed,” he said.
The incident occurred during an annual safety campaign in which Toronto police try to raise road users’ awareness of children returning to school.
At 101 km/h, a car moves at just over 28 metres per second and would not stop under full braking for another 53.54 metres, said Traffic Services Sgt. Steve O’Donovan.
O’Donovan estimated that it would take about 95 metres – roughly equivalent to the length of a football field – for a car travelling at that speed to come to a complete stop.

speaking of speeding, i got a ticket last friday. i know i shouldnt be speeding on the long weekends but i was heading out west to lake huron and it was getting dark. 2 hours into the trip, i got clocked 113 in an 80 zone. what ticket fighter company should i use to defend my ticket. i really dont wanna drive out there again. theres alot out there but just wondering if you guys recommend a certain company and what were the results
