drive to the gas stations near you...since you'll run out of gas if you tried to go anywhere.

Holy Shiat!
I almost crashed today on the 401 between Guelph and Milton. You all know what the roads were like today. I pulled out into the passing lane on behind a 911, and I sped up to about 100 km/h to move past a truck that was bombarding me with ice shrapnel. I went over the crest of a small hill and very quickly realized the car was not steerable at all! The road was curving very slowly downhill and to the right. I knew this was not good at all. I popped the car in neutral and began drifting toward the concrete divider as the road curved to the right and I was going straight. As the car touched the piles of slushy mush I got a little traction and I steered to the right, but the road was so glassy I started to lose the back end because the tires on the left had traction, but the tires on the right did not. I noticed everyone around me was smart enough to slow down and move away as I fish tailed down the 401. I just rode it out, counter steering in neutral and squeezing the brakes as much as I dared. ( I don't have ABS in the Accent). It eventually lined itself back up after what seemed like an eternity, and I moved into the far right lane, driving about 75 km/h far a very long time.
