eh out of curiosity, CF hood and winter driving, any problems? I dont see why, the cold shouldnt do anything to CF.

^The cold does a lot to CF, as it's an anisotropic material. Depending on the direction of the weave, it can easily warp.

Haha, CF is basically two parts, the weave, and the epoxy. The weave is just strands of fibre, woven together, kinda like a sweater. If you tug on it in the direction of a thread, then you're applying tension on the threads in that direction, and no load on the ones perpendicular to it. However, if you tug at some weird angle, it'll get all weird and deformed.
This could be avoided if it's layered thick enough, with each subsequent layer oriented differently, so that it can handle tensile loads. I believe this isn't the case on automotive stuff, as the majority of it is fiberglass, covered by a layer of CF for appearance only. Fiberglass is also anisotropic, for the same reasons as CF, it is a composite.
