i can't comment on z's that have the rev-up or HR motor, but any z with the original VQ (2003-2006?) pulling <14's in the 1/4 in "stock" form and street tires, i wouldn't believe for an instant.
then again, someone prove me wrong and show me slips from a stock z with street tires pulling < 14's at TMP or another track here in ON

You should not be bench racing with car mags as your source for times..
Pulled from the drag racing forum..
100% stock and the time was confirmed..
Veetec --------------------------04 Base 6spd 13.640@102.42mph 1.983 60ft
^do you have any way of finding out if a g35 has run anything close to that bone stock?
I know that the driver issue will come up, but I am just curious as to what they can run bone stock.
I noticed that you compared the 35th to the g35c.. The 35th is probably the heaviest of all models (for that model year), so I am wondering if you compared the heaviest of G models..

2. Reidonly ------- 05 - Coupe - 6MT - 14.05@102.35 -- 2.193 60ft --- Verified --- Street ----
That's the second best time, the best is a Sedan that ran a 13.84, but I have a coupe, so I don't see it counting.
Either way, they trapped the exact same, and the 350Z guy had a much better 60ft, which is a measure of driver, not car

You could have compared it to an '05 Track, it has a revup motor and comes in 6mt....
You also stated that the G would have better launching ability due to its slightly longer wheelbase.. obviously YOU didnt factor in the driver's ability..
Anyhow, with all things being equal. I still think that the z would achieve a faster 1320.

^That is an interesting comparison...The G has a better 60ft and a faster trap.. but is still slower at the end of 1320..

With all things being equal, yes, however the margin of error for driver is much larger than the difference in speed in the two cars. All either side has managed to show, is that the cars are damn close at the end of the 1/4. And curb weight for 05 track was listed as same as 05 35th Anny. Enthusiast and Base were lighter.
