When I decide to get another sports car I think it makes sense to get a limited edition 2001 or 2002 Dodge Viper GTS ACR.
reasons:
1) I like the styling more than 99% of any other cars, including Gen 3 vipers
2) It is fast
3) It is cool
4) Has already depreciated to rock bottom prices
5) Viper's are no longer made
6) ACR versions were produced in very limited numbers. 2001 was 227 units. 2002 was less.
7) I really like cars that are uncomfortable, and have no air conditioning, and are basically so hard to drive that no other's dare.
8) I would own an American car I actually like, and still keep the Z to represent Japan. Then I could later pick up a German car and then I would have 3 cars that were totally awesome and radical. I think having multiple cars is cooler than having 1 car
Anyways. That's my plan for today. I know 60% of you guys have no respect for this car, but from a enthusiast/ collector's standpoint iI think t's a bad *** idea.

the only hurdle would be finding one in excellent condition.
There is one for sale in kitchener for 48K.
But I'm not really interested in buying right at this moment.
Part of the attraction is finding a car that will really hold it's value, or potentially given enough time, appreciate.

My buddy drives a interlogos blue m6, he's an M nut and a huge BMW fanboy. Nice car. I'm going for a 2011 6.4l challenger. Deposit already at the dealership, available to order May 2010 with late 2010 delivery.
I do like the viper, just need back seats.

I only want to buy future classics, usually about 10 years old? I will keep each one I get.
I kind of think the Viper is the future "Hemi Cuda" of collection circles.

Really? that sucks. IN what way. I know the interior is kind of dare we say "neony". I've never been in one. Just know I like the styling and idea of one. And of all the cars mentioned, I think it's most likely to be collectable in the future.
And in the end, 1 Viper will set me back 50K. That's less than the 350Z did. It's like a free car!

Had a call from a gentlemen I had met at a show last month ..... he wants to buy my Z. He wants it the way it is as he plans on getting it trailed down to Florida in November but I have been racking my brain trying to figure out a price tag and really how much is all the Custom SH..T really worth.
2003 Performance 2-tone app 122,00km's.
Any ideas from you all
