The Useless East Canada thread!
Lol yes it's over the border and I don't think I'm installing it myself Barry from velocity owes me so he said he would do it free.
Anyone think 170 to 3m clear a cf front lip is worth it? I mean what could happen to it just rock chips that u won't really see? Nothing else would be 3m'd so

Velocity is still in business? WTF?
Also, just 10 hours and 45 minutes til my car is insured again
Yah I thought it was a bit pricey. The whole front bumper he wants another like 350 or smthn. But **** that. Cheaper to paint it again. I don't like the look of it anyways.
Hey mike why do u say that should they be outta business or something?

hmm yah im gonna have to say the work quality wasnt amazing dont know what all the hype was about, i have to go back cause the left side of my hood is dull someone tried to polish it and didnt wipe it off or something right side looks great. also i noticed that i dont think they took the emblem off to paint so inside the eblem on front bumper is old paint! i think. unless its hazy cause of the wax job they did but looks old to me otherwise everything else looks good im having it detailed he can measure the paint for me. but they did a great job on the rear diffuser that was my biggest concern because its a tough piece to install.
BUT barry is a great guy and his customer service is top notch. sends u pictures during the process texts u all the time. good guy. so i like that. and like no problems with me going back if im not happy to get something corrected just is kinda a hastle.

I got no texts, no updates. I lived 4 hours away and was not notified of any discrepancies in the instal. I arrived and it wasn't perfect. I was SOL because I had rented a truck twice to bring my car and stuff in. I had to pick up my car.
After getting my car I noticed the imperfect prep on the parts. The shop also gave away my stock parts that were in good condition, and instead, gave me some really crappy '06 parts.

it sucks when shops have such discrepancies in their customer experience, hard to know where to go or who to trust.
the bodyshop i went to for my v2 is still reliable in my books. i went there when i had a minor fender bender with my RSX (btw, fastest car in the world) and they did a decent job on my v2.
so if anyone is looking for a shop in markham, i'd still recommend garo's auto collision, especially if you're also considering velocity - they're next door to each other on heritage rd.
