Default RE: Spash Guards in the Winter?

Hey,

I was just wondering if you people find Splash Guards useful during the winter months. Are they really that effective? Thinking about putting some on for the winter (what is left of it that is). Thanks!

PS: For those of you who Do Not drive your cars in the winter don't bother posting useless comments (and reasons) for not driving your car in the winter. It is simply personal preference.

I was just wondering if they are effective in keeping the salt and stuff off the panels? Mind you, they don’t look the best so I am assuming that they are not for show.

Do the new models come with them standard or are they an option?

They came standard on my 03 Touring as part of the areo package (so maybe that means not standard?)

I only drive in on wet roads in the winter out here but I can tell you the whole side and rear bumper of the car gets dirty, so I don't think they are all that functional.

Completely useless. Mostly for "cosmetic" looks.

Besides, a little wheelspin sure do get rid of the tailgaters when there's plenty of snows

That looks pretty nice!

Are you keeping the front splash guards? I am not too of a fan of the rear guards and am looking to fill the back of the car out but not make it too low.

How much does it cost and where can you get one?

A number of vendors on here carry veilside.

I would assume they are quite useuful. On my G; I have a bunch of thrown sand, dirt, and crap from what my rear tires throw up; pretty sure the splash guards would have stopped that. There is nothing worse then when you drift a bit out of your lane and you can hear the sand/snow/crap being thrown onto your body from your tires. They also help when you clean the snow out of your tirewells.
