I've managed to hit 780km before when I went to Montreal cruising at around 120-130.

ok so on HWY driving, in cruise and at a reasonable speed the car has great mileage, over 700 that’s pretty damn good.
everyday driving roughly 550km that’s still ok
way better than my SR20

Driving slow is cool.
1) Save gas
2) Save environment
3) Save car
4) Get pulled over less often ( but still sometimes just for police fun)
5) More time to scope out chicks
6) It really ENRAGES tailgaters and road ragers alike which is very funny and entertaining to watch.
Point 6 is the best. I love watching people lose it. I have two theories.
1) That they lead shitty lives that they feel they have no control in. The time they are behind the wheel is the only time they feel they have any power because in real life they are:
a) Poor
b) Wimpy
c) Impotant
d) Ugly
e) Stupid
And, once behind the wheel they not only have control of a very large object, they are also somewhat anonymous.
2) They totally suck at math.
a) They can't factor time savings into the equation. ie if I drive 90 km/h through the city getting stopped at every other light I arrive at the same time if I drove 60 km/h
b) Gas, tires, clutch, brakes, engine, these things cost da money?
c) Even if you try to speed down the 401, traffic cuts into your advantage of speeding. Driving 100 km at 120km/h vs 150 km/h saves you 15 minutes in the ideal sense. If you take the real world into account and figure in trucks and slow traffic it saves you way less. Also for those brief spurts where you are going 150, you increase your risk of tickets and increased insurance.
