Not what it says here... Taken from MTO.

Drivers convicted of certain driving-related offences have demerit points recorded on their records. It is a common misconception that drivers "lose" points due to convictions for certain traffic offences. In fact, a driver begins with zero demerit points and accumulates demerit points for convictions. Demerit points stay on your record for two years from the offence date. If you collect enough points, you can lose your driver's licence.

I could pull things up that happen many years ago.

In fact today I had a guy with 2 DUI's in 8 years. Wasn't able to help him.

in reference to points...we are not too concerned (if at all) with them. The key is to remain licensed. If your license status changes (due to points or another factor) to suspended, cancelled/unlicensed etc...then you will see an impact (ie. non-renewal).

Well I got my insurance covered, and picked up the Z Today. Woohoo.
