Yeah, 10.5" wide. I think it looks badass with the stock wheels... I have 1/4" of clearence with the 305s at the back.

Plus, I prefer investing $ into my engine instead of wheels. I just needed the tracation very badly, hence the reason for 305s with sticky R coumpound (Nitto NT555RII).

wow 305s. I honestly can't believe people widen stock rims, or any rims for that matter. There's no way that weld is perfectly done to properly distribute stresses. I think any part that is involved with keeping you on the road (brakes, tires, rims, suspension) should be of high quality. But that's just my opinion. Those rims do look pretty awesome though. And good luck with that new boosted engine.

It's apparently very safe, it's been done for years... If done correctly, the welds are actually stronger than the metal surrounding it. More info here: http://weldcraftwheels.com/

Here are some pics comparing the 305s vs 245s:

never seen anyone widen a rim before.

Thats some crazy ***** right there!

Nope, red ones. I was able to boost 15.4 psi on them alone last week.

cool. I would definitely want my wheels heat-treated after being welded to properly distribute any residual stresses. It doesn't look like they do that at weldcraft. That's just my personal view. I track my car so the last thing I need is a weld breaking while going around a corner at 100km/h. Those 305s would look pretty sick on a Z though.

I'm not 100% sure what they do, but they did heat treat the wheels. That can be seen in the pictures as the clearcoat has burn marks on the inside of the wheels. It's hard to notice, really...

Is that you Gian?
Nah....I loved the S2000 but it's a total different beast. It's more of a weekend warrior...focused machine. The Z is like a GT car....almost like a Porsche Carrera. It's great to look at, makes all the right sounds and is pretty comfy. I bought an 06 R6 as well. I'll post some pics of that soon.

May 29th is a S2ki track day....I'll be bringing the ride out on TMP.

Sounds good! I'm located in KW. We have a few nicely modded G's patrolling the streets around here. Definitely need to hook up with some Z's in the T dot this summer.

You're in KW? I'm in Cambridge, we should definitely meet up!

I had no clue someone was running boost on a G around here.

Very, very sexy car
