Convertibles @ ZFEST August 10th!
#2
Z- Fest 2003 will be an extravaganza that will reflect the integrity, social conscience, and pride, of our club. It is the most special and important, prestigious event that you can participate in, as a Z owner, and as a Z member.
This year’s show, which will be held Sunday August 10th on the picturesque, grassy, foliage covered grounds of Appleby College in Oakville. What an inaugural gesture of pride and style to mark our 10th anniversary as a club.
This year’s show is a testimonial of many dedicated members’ time and effort for you the Z member. It is going to make a difference how people will view the stature and realm of our Z cars and their place in the car hierarchy placement in comparison to other car clubs, which share spotlights in the highways and bi-ways of our minds.
This year we also have something exciting to add to our car representation. I would be remiss in not specifically mentioning, congratulating and warmly welcoming the next new generation of exciting Z, the ‘350 Z’ to our club. Thank you for adding such a great dimension to our club; we look so forward to you joining us.
This year’s show is going to be dynamite! We have not one but two award categories this year. The new category will be the ‘Ontario Z Car Drivers’ award for best car in all categories. Only show car registrants will vote this award on.
The second award, the ‘People’s Choice’ award, is open to everyone who wishes to vote. This is open to guests, relatives, drivers, and the general public. It’s a Loonie per ballot sheet, which will be directed towards a charitable donation for the Hospital for Sick Children, a very worthy organization.
We will have vendors under canopies to serve you barbecued hot-dogs, and sausages. We will have an ice cream truck for the kids and grown-ups alike. We will have our D-J, Kruz Radio, and of course, raffles and giveaways with great opportunities in the prize department. Our sponsors as of this moment are, Nissan Canada, Sunoco, Whitehead Performance, Steve’s Tire (who will giving away a set Toyo Tires) Brantford Nissan, Oakville Infiniti Nissan, and Zaino Show Car Polish…. Thank you in advance.
Registration starts at 9 - 11AM. Voting for both awards starts at 12 noon and ends at 1:30 AM. The award ceremony is at 2:30 and we will wrap-up by 3:30. Admission is free for spectators, $15.00 for members, $20.00 for non-members. For non-members who wish to join our club at the show, you may do so by paying the membership fee and as a bonus, your admission fee will be discounted to $15.00.
I am looking forward to Z-Fest, and our new location, as it will set a new level of pride, and class that this club stands for. It’s going to be a great day to participate in, and a lot of fun for you and the family, See ya there; its going to be something really, really, special.
