Actually, if you read the thread, the GT-R is actually vinyled up to be flat black. Matte clearcoat paint is a biyatch to maintain.
The owner paid around $2500 for the job, i'd rather save it for something else.

i was just about to say that.. most people don't repaint it. It costs way too much. Its mostly vinyled. There are a few guys on the M3 forums that have done it. Not too hard... just need a good shop to do it.

That is sweet... not as semi-flat as the other one's I have seen, but definitely has the right amount of matte.
Alot of cars fail because they don't really use the right amount of satin or flatness in the paint.
This GTR's coat gives the illusion that it's a whole nother type of material. Also helps that it's on a car with aggressive lines.
