So it's been raining hardcore over in the GTA and my car is flithy. It was spitting outside tonight and I couldn't stand having the car dirty anymore...so there was no better reason to try out the ONR that I recently picked up.
I got mine here: http://www.eshine.ca/optimum_no_rins...e_32oz-172.php
So I get my bucket and follow the instructions, two cap fulls for what I assume to be roughly 2 gallons of water. The ONR smelled nice and didn't lather up (it's not suppose to). Tiny gripe here is that the water turns into this murky gray colour...kinda what your soap looks like AFTER you washed the car...so it's kinda hard to tell if the water is dirty or not.
Here's a pic of how dirty my car is....

Yikes. I pointed the flash at it so you can see how much dirt there is. Then what I did was take my sheep skin mitt, dunked it into the soap, wiped it over the door, then took my MF towels and dried it...
here's the result:

Good as new! Again, I pointed the flash at the door to help show clearly that there are no watermarks or dirt left over.
So i went one panel at a time, and the thing worked like a charm.
I'd recommend this product to anyone who doesn't readily have a hose available for washing.
Things I liked:
-You don't need a hose for rinsing, saving alot of water
-gets the dirt off just as good as regular soap
-you can still use it in conjunction with rinsing, though it's not necessary
-time saver once you get the hang of it. It took me a while to get use to wiping with the mitt, then grabbing the MF towels to dry.
-It's pretty concentrated, and you can mix it with less water to turn it into a quick detailer, or less ONR to make a clay bar lube (if you don't like using just water)
Things I didn't like:
-the colour of the solution is kinda dark. so if you only use bucket, it's hard to see the dirt
Things I'm going to change:
-I'm definitely using two buckets next time, one for the ONR solution, and one with clean water for rinsing the wash mitts.
Cause I was taking my time to make sure the ONR stuff was working, I didn't have much time to tackle my next cleaning project...gotta read up on tips on cleaning/polishing this thing....

you win THIS time! Next time I'm bringing in the right tools and you're gonna get clean damnit!

+1 for the ONR .
I also get mine from eshine.
As you said you can also mix it up and put it in a spray bottle as a quick detailer.
I also found it really improves my regular car washes in the summer I mix up my Zaino car wash, then add a capful of ONR to the mixture. It cleans and dries very well.

I don’t like the idea of this.
Without using a hose or presser washer to removed the majority of the dirt deposits prior to washing the car with a mitt and bucket you are just scratching your paint. It may make the car clean but when you are washing it with the towel or mitt you are basically wet sanding the paint finish. It’s like drying your car with a bath towel, its abrasive and over time it will make your paint look dull and have swirl marks. The only product I would use anywhere close to this on my car is a quick detailer and that’s within a day or two of washing it and after using a duster to remove the majority of the dust beforehand. When I dry or quick detail my car I don’t want to see any dirt on the towel, this means I ve been scratching it.
I would have just driven the car dirty until I could have found a car wash (wash bay, no drive through)

i was apprehensive about the products myself at first, but it doesn't look like it'll scratch the paint, the mitt traps all the dirt, so when you're drying with your MF towel, there's nothing but the water solution. My drying towels are perfectly free of dirt.
i've always washed my car at home, without a pressure washer. My pre-rinses have never really gotten "most" of the dirt out, it just loosens the dirt abit. For me using ONR is as abrasive as my previous soap. Swirls are unavoidable, so i've struck my balance in minimizing swirls and effort.

Thanks a lot for the review. I was looking for a product like this but wasn't sure if it was actually effective. My only concern now is if its possible to clean my car using ONR in the middle of winter below freezing temps? If I do it in my garage and wipe it off before it freezes I should be fine right? How much water actually hits the ground? I don't want my garage floor frozen.
I discovered ONR in summer of '06, a couple of months after my Z arrived, and haven't used hose/shampoo ever since. $ for $, it is THE best detailing product I have ever owned, and I have over $1K invested in them.
