I was looking at getting an XO2 exhaust system but they are all from retailers in the us and many of them wont ship the exhaust over the border because its larger than UPS's large item shipping size.
Anybody know of a Canadian retailer for this?

AFAIK XO2 doesnt have major Canadian retailers.
I can get the exhuast for you but with the exchange rate and shipping it gets pricey
Also, XO2 stuff is only a bit better than generic import stuff it still isnt HKS grade stuff...

I did find a guy that said he could get me one for $550 if I pick it up... Might do that.
I don't drive my car in the winter so I don't really care and I can fix it anyway. Own welder, can fix...
at your target price, you might want to consider Top Speed. It's all basically the same **** anyways

HKS isn't exactly the highest quality anymore either. Its a good name, but quality is fairly poor to be honest. My last HKS exhaust I had to cut to fix problems with it. My buddies supra has an HKS exhaust and I had to re-weld a few bits on it as well. So "HKS quality" doesn't really mean anything to me anymore. It's not like their products 10 years ago that we all remember. I rather a generic product that's cheaper because I'll end up messin with it anyway.
Most of good quality HKS are not even made by HKS, just rebranded as HKS especially the Turbos. HKS genuinely made products = garbage.

The stainless is pretty low grade stainless as well and a lot of times they use mild steel flanges which is what causes the rusting problems. In many cases the stainless used is not even 304. Many times is 200 series stainless which has high carbon and low nickel content in it which will make it rust eventually.. That's also why some sainless steel ends up being magnetic like those cheap turbo manifolds sold on ebay etc.
For my use where I drive the car summers only even lower grade stainless will have a descent lifespan of a few years. Also it's generally surface rust which you can remove. Remember a HKS exhaust is only 304 and it will rust eventually as well, it is steel after all and when there is carbon involved it will rust. It's just a matter of time. My HKS exhaust on my Talon ended up having rust on it after a few years too and I never winter drove it.
The only real way to prevent rusting is 316 or 316L (low carbon) however this steel is generally certificated and quite expensive, lets just say you wouldn't build an exhaust from it. Titanium is also a great way to go but we all know how expensive that is, and IMO a waste for an exhaust system in price and materials.
I would be willing to bet I could buy some HKS tips and they would probablly fit the XO2 exhaust system... I'll have to check.

Good info Jim, I've learned something new again
From what I have read on this forum, you would still be better off purchasing an HKS vs an X02.. Regardless of HKS's qc, the x02 is guaranteed to rust and it will do so very quickly.
Of course, if you are on a tight budget and just want a very cheap TD exhaust.. then by all means -x02 all the way..

can someone tell me what the OD of the XO2 tips are... i can get stainless and titanium tips in a few different ID's for this kind of purpose.
Also... just spray the exhuast... flat black it or something else... that'll help prevent rust.
