Do you still get charged tax if rims get shipped through USPS?

Yes, even through USPS, you pay customs, but just no brokerage fees.

This is what I paid for my wheels, $460... ouch! they were for $2900 US

ouch is right. sometimes I think I'd trade our high taxes for some of the gun violence they have in the states but low tax. lol

Why is that ouch? If you bought those wheels here in Ontario, even if they were the same price (which we all know they wouldn't be) the taxes here would be the same just minus the brokerage. In real life buying them locally here, you would be paying a lot more than $2900 USD for them.

So in reality you should be telling a story about how you saved money. You always have to pay taxes when you buy stuff, thats life.

^ I got quoted 3650 including taxes and everything for this from JRP (but with a 3 month wait).......
ended up paying 3550cdn after conversion + 460 in customs. I ended up paying 4010 as opposed to 3650.
