Default Need location of best Dealership in Toronto

Hey guys, my roadster is having a little problem with the soft top...I need to take it into the dealership since its under warranty. Which one would you guys recommend near the downtown core that is reliable. The people at Nissan on St.Clair have been quite scary when it came to not knowing how to fix things on my fathers car...so i dont think i want to take my Z to them.

Any help would be great !

Honestly,
its hit or miss..

I have had both good and bad experiences with St.Clair nissan..

If you do go back, make sure to Speak with "Joe" and not "peter"..
The Service Manager "Joe" is fairly knowledgeable, while peter... not so much.

Best of luck!

PS: Take your aftermarket rims off, regardless of where you take her!

+1 to the above post.

St. Clair Nissan is about 5 minutes away from where I work so I often get them to change my oil because it's convenient for me. I have dealt with Joe and Peter a few times each and I agree that Joe is more knowledgeable when dealing with Z's.

Out of the handful of times I've taken my car there I have always been treated well, but have also had a bad experience as well. Took my car to have the oil changed and had also noticed that under hard stops the brake light had been coming on (only for a day or two), I asked Peter to check it out and gimme a call. He called me back and told me I needed new pads, and quoted me $450+ to do the job. Obviously I said no and looked into the problem myself. Since it had just started occurring, I hadn't checked the brake fluid yet, sure enough it just needed to be topped up. Not exactly a "horror" story at the dealership but still, seems to me they were just looking to make a quick buck.

That being said, I agree it can be hit or miss. Since it is warranty work, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you do end up going try and speak to Joe to set something up. Good luck.

Lots of people have good comments on Oakville. Never been there...

I've used Alta Nissan Richmond Hill, lots of bad, few goods. But they still gave me a free tranny under warranty, so I'm going to say they're not THAT bad. But one of the mechanic did take my car for a joy ride... my friend lives right next to the dealership and recognized my car ripping down 19th ave

Because they don't give a sheit if they curb them...
St.Clair nissan curbed my old TE's

If you don't have stockers.. you should really take detailed pics in front of the dealership, just before its taken into the bay...maybe include the day's newspaper as extra proof.

+1 always have proof.

Take picture of the mileage as well (maybe fuel gauge too, to see how much they used) You'd never know if they go for a rip or something.

stay away from Avenue Nissan! I had a bad experience there when I owned my 350. They charged me a $50 brake inspection fee when I complained the rotors were wearing prematurely. they also took it upon themselves to change the air filter, which I had changed a few months earlier. The best one was the service woman telling me I needed new rear tires. For a laugh I asked her what she recommended and she said Michelin, but could not say what model or why, just said that is what people were buying.

Maple Nissan is the best so far.

Buying the 370z and I emailed 20 dealers telling them I got their invoice price and how much discount I can get.

I made my purchased with Maple Nissan Henry. He's awesome. Great service and BEST deal. Tell him Chuck send you.

Cheers

That's your reason? 'Cus the man sold you a 370z?

-Do you have any experience with the service dept
-Have you owned a zed before or had it worked on at this dealership?

Hi Noob, I already made my recommendation, read much?
I notice you did not answer the questions either..

My recommendation comes from personal experience with the service shop, management and the techs..
While your recommendation comes from sitting down with a sales-person discussing price..
