My license is suspended. I'm not allowed to drive anything on the roads.

Yeah that sounds very unprofessional. Keep up the fight. If anything, maybe the complaints will keep them from being promoted for a while.

f**k sorry bro, I can't STAND some cops. There are good ones, but mostly there are ones who just hate. If he asks if you know why you're getting pulled over next time say 'because you got mostly D's through school?'

IIRC, your license is only suspended for a week.... I had my license suspended for two months... Like I said, there's a lot to lose... fight it to man, punch the judge for his/her ignorance if you have to.

the cops in my area judge you by your car or bike you have and your age. some are very cool and listen to what you have to say but most get their power trip going and waiting for you to pull the freedom of speech and throw you in the back of their car. its happened to me lol. im not the type a person to give a attitude either. alot of them you say something too, they are more than happy to **** your day up and lie in court too to **** you up even more.

maybe contact city tv or something? Maybe they'll be interested in taking up the story to put this abuse of police authority into the limelight.

With those mods in your sig your car must be pretty loud, the cop probably thought you going a lot faster then you really are. Were you reving high too?

Hearing things like this always pisses me off. It's very unfortunate that we live in a province that can pass down such harsh judgment without any physical evidence. The "stunt driving" law in particular gives wayy too much power to cops to impound your car/suspend your license at their own discretion. It's sad that they don't realize that an offence like this can send already high insurance rates through the roof. I know in my own case, something like this would definately cause me to sell the Z.

Good luck, in getting this resolved. I've learned from past dealings with police that its always best to be as courteous as possible even when they are being d!cks, a tough pill to swallow for sure, especially in situations like this.

It sucks that nowadays most car enthusiasts are treated like criminals from the get-go, while most police do not feel the need to follow the rules of the road when on patrol.

Again, good luck! I hope you get this resolved quickly and can enjoy your Z again.

I've gone through a similar situation, but not to this extreme. I had a speeding case where the cop lied his *** off on the stand to make sure the ticket stood. Had I actually been speeding, I would have been fine with losing.

My best advice to everyone is to install a camera in your car. They make ones specifically for these situations and for the one time you may get into an accident. I've been looking into one for the last month or two. Cops will lie. Every bit of information on their ticket will benefit their case and it will all be ********. You will be "the only car on the road" during rush hour, the conditions will always be so sunny i was wearing my sunglasses at night, and he will test his radar 5 minutes before and after he pulls you over, twice.

Yes, I know my exhaust doesn't help. Its a strait pipe. Thats what everyone's been telling me too... I'm starting to hate the car. Its not worth modifying to the extent I have.
Cops always look at me funny, even at a red light or even when I'm parked somewhere. Just because of the way it looks! its profiling though against modified cars!
Just because my car is modified doesn't mean i'm a street racer and that I drive at dangerous speeds.
I'm very good on the road, I never cut anyone off.. and give people way. I drive at most, 10 - 15 km over speed limit.

This is unbelievable...

GL man, I'm in the York Region area too and the cops are the worse, I used to have a riced out civic and got pulled over at least once every month or bi-monthly for spot checks or getting a ticket for indicator being out, exhaust etc... nothing for speeding or "real" offenses

After switching to the G, for the last 3 years *knock on wood* I haven't been pulled over once, my setup is quite stock except lowered and rims.

It really sucks that we can't modify our cars without getting profiled especially as I said in YR.

I wish you best of luck, pm/talk to the people who have experience, I had similar but not as extreme situations. I think it's awesome and smart that you called the station, as well filled out a complaint report, it's going to be uphill battle from my experience, cops in YR seemed to be untouchable...
