Default Amp problems... help!

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone else who drives a Roadster or Coupe has or had this problem..;

When the music is playing (radio or cd) my sub sometimes turns on and off by itself... It could work for a good ten minutes straight and can just stop working all of a sudden... goes on and off whenever it likes..lol

I was told that it is possibly my amp?!

Is there loose wires? any recommendations on what i can do?

Not sure if it is busted because my sub does still turn on and off... just not consistent..

Some help please!

check and see how hot the amp gets, if its really hot it could be shutting off to go into heat protection mode. could be a ground or something too.

There is also a feature on the deck that raises and lowers volume (bass mostly) depending on road noise - it sucks and doesnt work very well. That may be it too.

wow, thanks for the help guys.. i will do all recommendations...

it may be a possibility that it is the ground cuz all the wires connected from amp to sub is fine.. nothing seems to be loose?!

could it be the fuse also?

it could be but i doubt it, check the fuse anyway though. make sure everything is connected good cause just cause it looks connected it might not have a secure one.

So i've checked almost everything..

I have a stock bose sub/amp/deck...

I just cant seem to put my finger on it.. it's really getting on my nerves.. took everything out, checked the wires, etc, nothing seems to be loose.. checked the amp to see if there was overheating, which it showed nothing of...

and still the sub (bass) cuts out and comes on whenever it wants..

This seems to be a common issue. Is there a known resolution to this problem?
