I'm surprised you had such wear on the paint in such short time.

but looking good. I can't imagine myself doing a complete detail, it's just TOO tiring! I rather pay $500 and have someone else do it :P

Its not the short time, its the ****** at the dealership that buffed my car, he used a high speed buffer with little to no chemicals causing serious scratches as shown above.

I actually had fun doing it and enjoyed it. It was well worth it even though i was dead tired. IF you want to polish let me know, ill beat all the prices.

Day two begins, off to work, then back on the car after work

That probably just killed a decent layer of your paint... you should look into adding another clearcoat on the car after this!! Did you at least give the dealership **** for it?

Probably far from you, im in Toronto/GTA

As for giving them ****, i did unfortunatly the damage has been done. This is why i always tell them no complimentary washes or anything, it will cost me more in the long run versus getting some crappy brush wash.

Now that I we're talking about complimentary car washes from dealerships.... i just remembered my first experience... THEY DIDN'T USE TWO BUCKET METHOD!!! from that day on I never got a complimentary wash again.

Your really worried about 2 bucket method? How about using a floor mop/brush to wash the car then use a squeegee to detail in the tiniest scratches? lol

On the side note, just finished the whole car, sexy as f**k, notice the white dots on the hood, they never came out as i was washing the car, after polish it was all gone, i was actually ready to repaint, saved a pretty buck and can still say i have original paint ftw!

THE HORROR. Lucky for me, my dealership didn't do that. Which dealership did you go to if you mind disclosing?

looking good Keep them coming.

Just a suggestion try using a halogen light it will make it easier for you and your camera to pick up the swirls. Canadian Tire has a sale right now I believe. I think you can grab one for 30-40 dollars.

Cheers!

Took you 9 hours to get done with half the car, is that polishing itself, or wash dry claybar and everything? I would of went with menzerna for polishes probably would of cut the time down some or used something that was more aggressive/had more cutting.

The aftermath is full of win.

Ahh ok I see, sorry I was mistaken I thought it was like four steps of polishing lol that would have been crazy. Still though when I have to hand polish my arm still gets tired after awhile.

Glad to see guys enjoying spending time with their cars.
