How's Fuel Consumption?
It's ok, you have 500+hp to make up for it
.
I stopped caring about gas mileage ever since owning the 350Z. You can't buy a sports car and expect to have a good mileage, if that's what you want, you're looking at the wrong car. Perhaps Honda Civic is what you're looking for.

Some imput...
I'm under 25 years of age and before I purchased a nismo 350z, I had an 03 touring... I owned the car for a year it had 36 000 miles on it (american car) and in a rear of regular service and oil changes every 5000km nothing particularly major happened.. I had to replace the stock battery and the powersteering belt, brakes too... but that's another story unrelated to the actual car.
Fuel consumption isn't bad for the size of the engine honestly, I drive routinely to GTA and back at least 4 times per week and I run about 5-6$ of fuel per day, premium obviously.. that's combination city and highway driving at variable times as well.
In all honesty though, your questions can be easily answered through google or an edmunds review. I'd wager (and the 03 Z was my first car) that if you are this concerned with the economics at these small points, the Z is probably not the right car for you.
I pay 365$ a month for full coverage with my Z... and it's not in my name. Mind you, there's a 100% at fault accident on the record, no tickets, and one policy cancellation premature of the date... if you put the car in your name and you're under 25 you'll easily be paying 6k a year.
What I learned pretty much being this young and having this kind of a car is it's not the initial cost nor the car payments (if you have them) on the car... it's the insurance, meticulous little things you do to maintain its luster (at least once a week car washes haha) and the modifications you'll end up wanting to do badly that'll kill you economics wise.
This is not the car for you if you're not going to service it or maintain the look really... and by the picture you have painted thus far, I would say no, purchase something more run of the mill in all honesty.
Most won't even drive their Z's past mid october in canada... and won't return them to the road until aprilish... so if you've got another ride for the winter you can save on the insurance and store it... strongly advised.
my two cc's.

^You get some good gas mileage, $6 a day... hmm... but then again, I never stayed until 4k rpm. You're just not getting the benefit of the power if you do
VERY TRUE.

Yes, I'm honestly impressed by the gas mileage... now mind you, I rarely exceed 4k rpm... unless i'm entertaining myself or testing the car, in any odd matter of sorts heh.
I will say that part of that is I find the Z attracts enough attention without the snarl of the exhaust when you exceed 3 1/2 rpm... and if you do, every civic/rx-whatever and volkswagon interchangable poorly moded **** pipe has to try to compete / race (if you can call it that) with you :\.
Driving in west toronto / sauga is an experiance all on its own heh.

get a girlfriend and insure the car under her if you're 25 and under like me. I'm paying 179 dollars for full insurance and I live at yonge and eg, which is as expensive in quote as downtown I think.

I was on test pipes and true dual as well.
