I think I will park my Z Oct 31st. I'm already getting the '92 civic ready for winter duty. Threw in a '93 sohc vtec motor and repainted the winter rims, rust repairs underway....boy, it's gonna be along winter without the Z.

I hear y'a, I'm getting ready to put it away, but I will probably do it next weekend or the one after that. I still want reasonably nice weather so that I can wash and wax her and clean the inside of her thoroughly.

LOL, mines been garaged since 11 Jun 03. Just hit 1200 miles last week. Looks like no more driving until spring. Put that last coat of Zaino in, one more, next weekend and I should be done.

One thing for people storing their Z's. Use Fuel stabilizer. They sell it at Wal-mart or comparable. I have used it 6 different times on previous cars. It keeps the gas new all winter long. Also, remove your battery or at least remove the terminals. You battery will drain if you leave it on all winter.

Thanks for the advice. I have always used fuel stabilizer in anything I've stored. What do you think about 'fogging' the engine? I did not do it on my previous car and had no problems, I was just wondering if you have done it or know of the benefits/drawbacks?

Whats fogging?

I normally change my oil right before I store it and top the fuel off and add stabalizer, and unhook the battery.

Yeah you don't need to fog the engine. I didn't do it last year. Use Sta-bil and remove the terminals from the battery and you will be fine. Just remember to charge up the battery before you take it out again. When I took mine out last year After a 20 minute drive I got a "service engine soon" light come on and it registered a low battery alarm. No big deal but a pain to go and take it to Nissan just to have them clear the alarm. I bought a slow charger that I will use on my battery before I take her out in the spring.
