Default Have you had your engine replaced due to oil consumption?

I have an intake plenum, flywheel, and headers on my car among others.
I took it to a dealer and they're telling me to get it back to stock or they cant do anything. But some of those parts obviously are a **** to get out there and I dont have my stock upper plenum..

Has anyone in Southern Ontario had their engine replaced under warranty for oil consumption, with similar mods, and not had a problem with the dealer giving you ******** and not just fixing Nissan's CRAP!

I am looking for a Dealership in Southern Ontario that will take it, and give me the new engine that I'm very eligible to receive.

Please for the people that are going to tell me to read the OC thread..
Don't do it... I said dontcha do it dammit!!

*I refuse to spoon feed*

-If you search this sub-forum, you will find at least 2 threads relating to your OC problem. One has detailed info on "how/what/when.."

-Read and re-read the OC thread. It contains all the info you are asking for.

Ninja Edit: if you went to the stealership and they told you to remove the mods in order to start the proces.. why have you not complied??
I hope you realize that they control the fate of your engine....

Lets see....a few hours of work which is a pita for a new engine, or be lazy and keep buying oil....I would'nt care if it took 3 days to take all the aftermarket stuff off, I'd do it and deal with the hassle.

go see a performance shop not the dealer,
see whats cheaper.
a jdm motor or replacing the rings and seals in your motor to stop the oil burning.
Iv had many Honda motors with this problem sucks *****.
Now my 350Z doesnt burn a drop but iv herd many many stories of peoples cars burning oil after 1 track run or 1 circuit day.

You my friend have the exact understanding that I do.
I am trying to decide to either build a motor because alot of the swaps are not reliable, or take all the crap off my car and get a free swap.
The warranty clock is ticking and its a HUGE decision for me because I am not in a good spot with the money...

Where is the common sense? If you can get a completely new engine replaced under warranty why are you hesitating? That's the point of warranty anyways - to save our pockets for mods Thousands of $$$ to rebuild an engine or a few hundred bucks to take off your mods to get a new engine. If you're baller then just rebuild it and add turbo.

Plus if it hasn't hit you yet, the stealerships aren't here to help you - it's what is in their best interest. If they can decline you easily given the opportunity they will. Hell even some have tried to decline someone with an 'air intake'.

Just saw this...you're tight on money and you're thinking rebuild...how does that make sense? Hurry up and get it under warranty before it runs out.

I'd go with a free new engine if you're in a tight spot financially. You don't have that many mods to remove.

Wow, not only are you an e-thug.. but you're a complete idiot on top of that.

Read your OP.. You stated that the dealership you went to advised you to remove the mods before they could help you... Why not do what they ask
Do you also think that a dealership is going to give you a new engine with all those mods installed? if you do, then I should have typed my first sentence in bold

Why should Nissan warranty your engine with aftermarket mods? Why should Nissan have to struggle to remove and install aftermarket headers, intake, and pulley. etc.. ? Fact is that X amount of time is given for an engine replacement, if there is deviation from their process then it can cost more time. Not to mention if an aftermarket part is lost or broken that is an added cost. Stock parts can be had at cost and were designed to work.
I think you have a cool dealer lucky he did not flag you for engine modifications.
