Anyone have an iphone and with Rogers?
I am asking because I am trying to get my email to work on my phone, but there does not seem to be an easy way to get my rogers email to my iphone while still keeping it on the server, so when I go to my desktop, I still receive the emails.
Wondering if anyone has this set up properly and can direct me to do the same.
Thanks!

With the default mail program that comes with the iphone I can set it up to receive my rogers email, just like I have my work email set up which is through yahoo.
However, with my work email, when I receive an email to my iphone, its still saved on the yahoo server, and therefore will still show up on my desktop when I retrieve my mail from there at a later time.
With rogers you cant do this with the iphone. If you do set it up with the iphone's email application, an incoming email that's received in the iphone will be removed from the server, and not be retrievable from your desktop later on through outlook for example.
Some people have found a way around this, but I haven't found an explanation yet online to set this up.
So i want to access my rogers email through the mail application on my iphone, without it being removed from the rogers server. I still want to be able to log into my rogers account at home, and have all the emails still there.
In outlook, you can change the settings so when an email is received it stays on the server. This means that if you go to your laptop later on and check your mail, that same message that you received earlier on will still be sent to your laptop, because it stays on the server. I want to do this with the iphone's setup as well.

Very strange problem.. I don't have this issue with my bb.. but I know exactly what you are talking about.
Is there an option that allows for the Mailbox (outlook) to take precedence.. Within the Blackberry world, we call this "mailbox -wins". Perhaps the iPhone has a similar setting?
Another option for you, would be to use the www.yahoo.ca/mail, to access your Rogers mail.. This should provide you with a temp workaround...
*Be advised that if you launch your Outlook App, and receive mail, it will remove all the mail from your Yahoo.ca/mail, session.*
A co-worker is a mac-superfreak.. I will ask him if he knows of a workaround.

LW,
You using outlook or outlook express..?
I didn't read that last sentence.. but that is the setting I was going to recommend. Enable that within your outlook or outlook express client and you should be fine.
Because your actually "downloading" the mail to your handheld device, you will need to force the server to keep a copy.

So with that setup in outlook, i can check my mail on my desktop, and when i go to my iphone, its still there and uploads on my iphone.
But, since no setting like that exists is on the iphone, If I check my mail on the iphone first, its removed from the server, and wont show up later on in outlook.
