hey boys .. well just retuned from HK and after seeing all those sexxy skylines and little done up rockets over there it made me think (and hope)

we prob have another month before I can get the volks back on.

however .. just before i took em off last year, a curb with revenge slightly scraped the lip on my drivers side rim argggggggggggg.

so needless to say i want to get it back to its previous form, just b.c I know its gonna bug the hell outta me come summer.

anyone know of or had experience with any locals.

I know of Carcones and Precision but anyone reco any? prefferable in the West end?

while i can't make any recommends, just make sure they've dealt with forged/clearcoated rims.

your volk lips are forged with clearcoat on them, so make sure they don't destroy the clearcoat aroudn the area they're fixing, or else it's going to bug you even more

 

Precision repair one of the wheels on my TL before...its special color too they did a really good job.

I cracked the front RIM. I thought I was totaly done for because you can't get these anymore. I contacted the guys at JRP since they are Volk dealers to see if they could help to get me a replacment warranty or other but the Volk guys said no deal and none available. I was pissed because these Volks should not crack. I think it happened when i hit new pavement at about 80 klms. I didnt see it because it was dusk out and when i went back to look there was no ramp it was a straight 90 deg and must have been 3 '' high. The tire went flat a few days later and I didnt realize it was cracked until i took it into a local shop to check the bead for a seal and they noticed the crack right away.

Anyway JRP hooked me up with these guys at Whicked wheels and the rim is like new. I had a curb rash as well and you would never know. This fix is about 2 years now and no issues. I will go back if can find time to fix another rim with some rash.
