Wouldn't u rather spend more the first time have peace of mind know u got the good stuff and be able to say yah I got the hks exhaust. I dunno I care bout my car ALOT so only want the best for it. And get what's proven best. Don't cheap out on ur nice car! Then everyone starts getting **** parts and we become the new Honda civics all rolling around with weaksauce wheels and exhausts and make the z look like a cheapo car
Come on man I wouldn't take it that far, and yes I agree that something MUST be done with good brand name products with solid R&D. All Im saying is some of these larger companies do in fact get some of their products at the same distributors as the replicas.

I just don't not see the justification sometimes in paying that top dollar for something I didn't have to. And I don't consider that being cheap with my car or treating it like it. I call it being money conscious. Getting the most out of your dollar, that's what I'm about.

You still haven't named any examples of this. I mean the Nismo CAI is a rebadged AEM CAI. And GREX rotors might be rebadged ENDLESS rotors. And NISMO LMGT4 wheels are manufactured by RAYS ENG. but these things still are at roughly the same price point. This is a true rebadging and you are ending up with a quality product.

replica parts like ROTA, or X02, Project Shine Auto etc etc etc are of inferior build quality to the parts they replicate, and their price point reflects that. Cost savings to the consumer are available from cutting corners in manufacturing, as seen with X02 copying the HKS. Yes I know some cost saving comes from cutting R&D and advertising as well, but my main point is you end up with a shittier looking product on your car. And you may think, ahhhh no one will notice. Every car person notices real parts.

I find it ironic that some of the replica companies are actually larger than the brand name shops they are relicating from

How about making a new thread and stop polluting this one lol

All in all, people have their opinions, different budgets and different tastes. All this BS talk is not leading anywhere and just creating even bigger **** storm. Some like to spend their live savings on brand names and show off how cool they are, some are after replicas may it be purses or car parts, all in all it does the job, how well its questionable. Good for you people who buy authentic, your supporting these companies that deserve money, others who by replicas may not be able to affort or even look at the item and say **** it aint worth it and look at the replica which is identical at fraction of the cost and buy it.

My opinion for getting hks replica; looks exacly the same, no sound difference or anything well apart from tips - which isnt a big problem, to me its not worth it dumping thousands and thousands of dollars on the car, yes i love it and yes it deserves good parts, but these parts are good enough for me and do the job just fine.

Ive seen too many people with with authentic parts showing they stuff off when in fact they used their parents money to buy the car and all the parts, so really your really showing off what your parents accomplished and not your self. I my self is on the budget, saving up for more meaningful things (place to live is one of them). so judge all you want at least i payed for my things

Oh and ps all this started with a someone who quoted me saying time attacks and hks, newsflash, time attacks are not just on te volks, they are on many branded wheels.

I saw three Z's today and raced all of them in my Baller 2001 Cavalier.

First one was nice clean Silver one. I killed him at the lights and left him in my dust.
(He was 3 cars behind me in the outside lane and he didn’t have a chance )

Second Z Black with shinny RIM's. Beat his azzz. (He tried to catch up to me from way back in my mirror and then the light went yellow. I just made it through and he had to stop for it. Smoked that Z!!

3rd was a Black Roadster.
I flashed past him so fast he didn’t see me. (It was parked in front of Chicken Wings bar ha-ha)

I didn’t even know what Baller meant until I showed up at a meet with some BBK Stop techs one time and was like doh what me, Baller, I don’t think so but ok I guess. I came home and told my wife and kids and they all laughed at me. I sure didn’t buy my parts to be Baller it’s because I liked them and said to myself I just got to have that. Same as you buy anything you really want in life.

Nobody here is trying to put anyone down we are just trying to keep the Z community from having cars that end up looking like most of the poorly modded Hondas so we have a good image with our fine cars. Unfortunately we can’t really stop it we are only trying to educate.

Your right we shouldn't be polluting this thread, if you guys want to flame me, make a new thread and go ahead, I really don't mind

On topic: Saw a HOT MILF driving an 06 Roadster PEARL White, Hurontario and QEW

Also on topic, I was driving in Milton today, ended up at a set of light next to a Mustang GT, I look over and its like a 60 year old man. Buddy is itching for me to race him....I just chuckled as he peeled out....It made me a little confused I'm not going to lie.

LoL@Kiriller.. When have Axis hiros been described as Time attacks??.. please stop with your excuses.. If you are proud of what you have, than don't blur the line between Authentic and Replica... You own replica parts.. NOT TIME ATTACKS OR HKS! At least be real with yourself, seriously....
-And I find it ironic about the "parents paying for the kids"...comment... I recall you were boasting about driving your winter beater, which is an x5.. when asked "oh its my parents car". I also highly doubt that you paid for your own car.. so please... save yourself the embarrassment.
If that comment was directed at Anthony! LOL! FYI- he's a tradesman......
That young man works hard for his money, and will be making a tonne more in a very short time. I have nothing but respect for him. So don't confuse my words for an attack against young owners.

... Really... Really? Well then let me explain to you, what i wrote and what i meant, i said black rims with time attacks, time attacks is considered and known as the red line on the rims i made no what so ever reference to the te's or anything, get of your high horse and perhaps get a z. I paid for my car and im proud of it, the x5 is for winter and i dont even care its not mine i just ride it out through winter in it.

And whos anthony?

and just to put in to perspective, only part i have thats replica is the hks exhaust, everything else is its own brand, well at not many parts but stillen splitter at least which isnt really cheap for a simple lip. I dont see axis copying the the rim style of anything unlike rotas. Honestly im not sure if your actually being serious or not when your posting your crap...

and fyi, like i said before i did buy my own car, i had a choice either get older 03-06 model and putting some really nice mods on it right away, or just getting an hr and saving up for future mods, i chose to go with the hr.

keep hating though

But time attacks is actually what volk called the black with red line limited release wheel.
It was actually called the time attack that's why when ppl refer to black wheels with red line it makes no sense kinda? Anyways I think that's what reality is saying.
Lol this has got out of hand but drama like this makes the forum worth looking at haha in the end to each his own and were all friends. Right? No? lol

I will tell you why.. because you are embarrassed to be rocking Replica garbage and would rather be thought of as owning authentic parts...
