And I'm pretty sure, the claim goes against your own policy. The other party's insurance won't even be contacted...

i been to the station last nite, the cop i dealt with put me waiting for around an hr. The only thing he gave me after he filed the report is the incident #. I guess thats not gonna help me much.
no worries i guess i hadda put in the ings kit a bit earlier.
And yes, since its a private property, i gotta go thru my own insurance or pay from my pocket

Nope. Police will send her a letter asking her to bring the vehicle in for inspection. Once they notice that it was indeed involved in an accident, she will receive a "failure to remain" or something along those lines...

Then nothing happens pretty much, assuming there is no direct paper trail I would assume. and even if there was, that would be a whole different investigation.. it's kind of sad really.
