Unfortunately it's private property - so this will have to go through your own insurance - stupid no fault insurance.

^True, but the person who left the scene of the accident will get bent over by the cops and insurance....

I doubt the cops will lift a finger as it was on private property...not a public road/highway.

And I'm pretty sure, the claim goes against your own policy. The other party's insurance won't even be contacted...

I wish other people would be more mindful of other people's propertly

i been to the station last nite, the cop i dealt with put me waiting for around an hr. The only thing he gave me after he filed the report is the incident #. I guess thats not gonna help me much. no worries i guess i hadda put in the ings kit a bit earlier.

And yes, since its a private property, i gotta go thru my own insurance or pay from my pocket

insurance is the biggest legal scam.

Your car gets damaged, yet nobody dares make a claim.

Nope. Police will send her a letter asking her to bring the vehicle in for inspection. Once they notice that it was indeed involved in an accident, she will receive a "failure to remain" or something along those lines...
Regardless if she was on private property or not, she left the scene of an accident and will be held responsible.

Because of our insurance system here, Ed would not be able to sue..

Then nothing happens pretty much, assuming there is no direct paper trail I would assume. and even if there was, that would be a whole different investigation.. it's kind of sad really.
