Congrats Sasha!
Just wanted to give a shout out to Sasha for his win today in the Canadian Touring Car Championship! Amazing race, where he was following 1st place for a lot of the race, but with about 4 left to go finally got in front and left him in the dust. Had a good lead on him by the end too.
After his victory lap he did a nice burnout on the finish line for the fans, had the car pushed off to the side, jumped out and with his arms up in the air joined his crew in celebration. Best race of the weekend for me.

heh, he had the advantage of living close enough to Toronto to know the [poor] conditions of the streets! It was fun watching the IZOD cars bounce their way down the stretch haha.
Thanks so much guys!
It was an incredible weekend, we worked so hard for this weekend and put in a ton of hours. I have been a little slow to respond to emails because we've been so busy with the race cars so I apologize for that, but being able to race and especially to be at the front at the Toronto Indy and win Hyundai's first race for the Genesis in North America was such an incredible feeling!
Not to mention how great it felt to be racing wheel to wheel with one of Canada's best touring car drivers, Nick Wittmer had just won the Speed World Challenge TC race in a Realtime Honda, so you know he's at that pro level. To pressure him all race and then be able to lay down an aggressive pass, make it stick and win the feature race was incredible.
I was screaming my head off in the car and waving, the burnout broke an axle and resulted in me getting a $500 fine and it was ALL WORTH IT!
What a weekend!

Luckily however I finished the story, check it out here on wordpress. It's way more entertaining than hearing me talk about it!
