Default off topic: Default Telus called me to return the phone

I bought a phone off the kijiji.ca about 3 months ago. And I paid $500 for it.
Recently, Telus called me and told me that the phone I bought is a stolen device. After I gave him the information I know about the seller, they are able to find the thief and asked me to return the phone to Telus store as evidence.

And now they told me my only option is to file the police report to try to get the money back from the seller (which I think it wont help)
He also told me that I could buy the phone from Telus since I do not have any contract with Telus.
I do not mind sign another contract with Telus, but that means I have to give up the plan that I have since I asked long time ago, and told they can not keep the same plan if I sign the contract with them.
Do you think I can negotiate with them that I can keep the same plan as they ask me to return the phone for free and not offer me anything discount.

Between the phone has broken screen, so I do not mind to return the phone.

Sorry for the bad English grammar.
