New 350Z owner
Hey everyone....picked up a 350z about 1.5 months ago. Been browsing around the various forums and thought I would introduce myself....
below are some pictures of the car....bought the car stock except for a K&N drop in filter replacement...

Just out of curiousity, what other forums do you guys use to search for information about the 350z?

Congrats on the new ride ... Don't think there too many if any yellow ones in this section, non that show in person anyways ... A few of us chill at the tims by elgin mills and yonge through out the week. Pm me your number and ill shoot you a text next time I go.
as far as i know they only made yellow zeds for 1 year in 2005, so there are not many in general. There are prob 20 black and 20 silver zeds to 1 yellow. I ve only ever seen 2 modded yellow zeds in person
No specific plans for modding right now....appearance wise, I like how the car looks as is, so nothing planned there. Performance wise I want to get comfortable with this car on a few lapping days before I start modding, that way I can target my mods on areas that I feel my money should be spent on.......I know power is hard to come by from a $/HP perspective based on what I have read anyways, so the focus will probably be on the suspension, tires and etc. ....
The yellow 350z's only came in the 35th anniversary model...I have actually seen 2 other yellow ones around the richmond hill area but it was quite difficult to find one that someone was willing to sell....
I am out of town for a few weeks in Sept so I won't be able to make any of the meets in Sept but will try to make it out to one of the smaller meets before the weather gets really cold...
Just wondering, out of the owners around the GTA area, how many take their Z's to the surrounding track for lapping days?? I want to get atleast one track session in with the car before the end of the year and wanted to see if there's other people interested in going...

Welcome to the Richmond Hill Z community.
We might have bumped into each other already.
I usually go with touge.ca for track/lapping days.
Next one I am planning to attend is Sat. Sep 17 at Cayuga.

I have gone to a few events with touge when I had my old car....actually saw a grey 350z at Cayuga on Aug. 14 when I went last time...I wonder if he's on this forum as well...

It isn't hard to get more power out of a Z without spending a ton of money. Used Vortech kits seem to be dropping in price. High flow cats or test pipes, cat back exhaust, intake manifold are all other good options for easy to install not too expensive HP mods. Most of those items you can find used in the marketplace on here too.
You aren't going to set any records with these mods but the power does add up and can make the car more fun to drive, especially if you add boost. Best advice is start reading through the forums here. There are some great threads on the vortech kits, boosting a car in general, some how to install threads that I have found helpful.
Out of the 350z forums I have checked out in the 2+ years I've owned my Z this one has been by far the most informative, most active and most welcoming. You have picked a great car and a great place to come to for advice and information.
Feel free to PM me anytime if you have any questions.
And I really need to start getting out to meets when I am home and meet some of you guys in person
