If I remember correctly Canadian Tire carries an aluminum Michelin Jack that goes on sale from time to time. Looks like a good unit and you know how Canadian Tire sale prices go..usually 40-60% off.

For cheap you should check out Princess Auto.

If you're ever in the states swing by sears or an auto store. I picked up a great low pro jack for about 50$.

This is the best low profile jack hands down. It's heavy and it's expensive, but it is my favorite tool in the garage.

Most of the CT ones aren't low enough it seems. My buddy bought one from Costco and it was cheap and low. Sorry I can't recall the brand but they won't have stacks of selection.

I had the 'aluminum racing jack' from CT for about 2 years before it broke. First a piece on the handle and then a wheel broke. I used it quite a bit though.

checked out costco, it's similar to the one you listed 4DGS. It's $100 and weights a ton. Checking the description they both have dual pistons. The Costco one says it's as low as 4", and has two wheels in front instead of one.

I'm just gonna wait abit to see if it goes on sale at Costco (doubt it). The crappy tire jacks that were on sale all looked like garbage.

this is the one at Costco and it's $100 at the store:

Ignore the 1 star review, the dude was just complaining that it's super heavy.

This is the one I meant at Crappy Tire. Used to be a Michelin jack but I guess it's motomaster now. 1 year warranty.

Motomaster Aluminum Racing Jack
Product #09-0021-2
See more Creepers, Jacks & Stands or compare
Motomaster
Reg. $209.99
A lightweight jack comprised of aircraft grade, heat treated aluminum hydraulic block and aluminum chassis for easy handling and positioning under a vehicle

Lift range: 9 - 37.5 cm (3.5 - 14-3/4") - low pickup height for easy access to low profile performance cars

Automatic bypass prevents jack damage through over-pumping

Fast acting pump provides maximum lift arm extension in 8 to 9 incremental pump strokes

Rubber padded saddle protects vehicle frame

Aluminum 2 piece long handle provides ease of pumping in tight areas when second handle is removed

Cast-iron rear wheels swivel for easy positioning

Side frame handle for easy transport

ANSI approved

May not be exactly as shown

Canadian Tire Warranty:

Most of the reviews look pretty good.

Wait for it on sale and get it for %50 off or better.

I bought one of these from wal mart on sale for like $70 years ago. it was a torin black maxx. no problems just the jack handle spring broke. I use it about every day for 5 years, I gave torin a call and they sent me a replacement for free... i would recommend it any day.
I saw this the other day, northern has them in the book, under another name but would like to pick it up too, it jacks up higher.

I also own a harbor freight special aluminum racing jacks you see on sale for around $80 all the time. It has been great use more than my other jack. Owned for about 5 years also.
