Yeah I'm going on the 12th. I hope I can get a tow vehicle before then.
I hope to put a clean lap with video in the 1:20's
If I could do 1:19's I could sleep all winter happy.

dude 1:31 isn't embarrassing. I've seen bikes doing 1:30. Infact they commonly do 1:30.
Just look at their videos on youtube. I saw a 350Z modded do like 1:35's at the first time attack.

I agree %100. A GTR is born a very capable supercar out of the box. A fully kitted Z should be no match against a fully kitted GTR, in a class where there are no limitations. Plus the fact the Z is N/A is an astonoshing feat.
Had my first track experience in the Z at TMP this past friday. It was a blast! Only a hand full of cars came out for the evening lapping so it was pretty much a wide open track, albeit a little on the wet side.
It's too bad I left it so late in the year though, now I'll have to wait the entire winter before I can give it another go!
The link shows a few of my laps on my buddy's GoPro. I think the best time I managed on video was 1:27:19. For all of you with experience at TMP, I'd really appreciate some feedback/critism/advice.
Thanks and look forward to meeting some of you at the track next year...

Hey TOZ, thats a solid time no doubt. Good job. I'll let the other more experienced guys chime in for criticism. I'm a rookie myself having only two track days under my belt, so I will be paying close attention to any criticism offered.
What mods have you done to your car?

The car performed great with no major issues. The only problem was a well known issue with the HR's clutch. After a number of hot laps, the pedal wasnt releasing properly. I'll have to upgrade to a zspeed clutch slave or something similar for next season I guess.
2TH PWR...it sure wasn't a down pour but the rain would come and go which made things interesting and scary at times. It was a chilly evening as well so the track wasn't very
'grippy'. How did my over all line look thru the corners? Any spots where its obvious I could make up some time?
Thanks again guys!
Right now if the track were dry you can make up a tonne of time by hitting redline in every gear. Looks like you are shifting as soon as the warning light comes on. And the line on the first half of the track looks really good.
I think you can pick up a lot of time through the chicane area until the start finish line.

Thanks for the advice! Ya, I took it pretty easy with the shifting and braking....I think I was a little overly paranoid I'd break something on the car.
Don't think I'll be able to make it out again this year. Hopefully I'll be able to remember your advice! Maybe I'll see some of you out there next season, I'd love to follow a faster car around to learn the proper line and braking points...I found both turns 1 & 2 really tough to find reference points for braking.

Man Im itchin. Only problem is that its a lot of back and forth for me. Cayuga Fri, Milton Fri night for hockey. Back to Niagara Sat morn for a golf tourney, back to Toronto Sun and back to Niagara mon night to fly out of Buffalo Tues morn......BUT I'm itchin bad! Anyone else going? Looks like the weather might co-operate. Calling for a nice cool dry day.
Just watched your vid TOZ. You're a good driver I must say.
What kind of track experience do you have and what tires were you on
in the vid?
You'll be way faster on a warmer dry day.

Thanks for the compliment! Tires are Bridgestone RE-050A, 255 in the front and 285 in the rear. I did a couple of racing schools a long time ago and have done a hand full of track days over the past few years...got married and had a baby but now things are settling down so I'm planning on getting to the track a lot more next season...as long as the wife okays it of course!
