Wheels are matte black.
Here's a quick photo to see how they look. If you don't like yellow dunlop I can remove it. Just oil sharpie.

Hey Mike, I have an extra set of Yokohama ENV-R2 race slicks. I have two sets that I planned on using as practice slicks next year but Im having second thoughts about using them without much experience. I still plan on keeping one set, but Im thinking about unloading one of the sets, and thought I might offer up a trade if you were at all interested.

I dont know much about the life of the tires except they are Yokohama ENV-R2 off Porsche race cars that race in the IMSA Patron GT3 Series. They have a lot of rubber left. Most if not all have close to 4/32's left. I ordered a durometer a few days ago to try and get them as closely matched as possible, if that'll even work.

Sizing is front: 240-640-18 rear: 280-680-18.

As you can see, the rear sizing is a little large. Its the equivelant of a 275/40/18 but you might still see some value in these for practice rubber?

Let me know. If not not no big deal. I will probably put a set up for sale with the Porsche guys.

Im interested in the Dunlop's either way.

A guy I met is going to provide me with slicks from some world challenge cars that they use for qualifying I think.

So I have the new tires covered.

Do you want star specs on wheels or off?

No worries. Just the Star Specs would work. Ill have to get back to you on them though. I think I'll have to get rid of a set before bringing any more in my house or the wife will snap.

By any chance do you know if the cscs tire regulations are staying the same for next season? I would prefer the RS3's but would opt for the Star Specs if its gonna stay at UTQG 200 for street class.

Can't say for sure but I don't see how it could change? The 200 rule just started May 2012.

The prior 10 years it was 140.

Hence why I picked up the hankooks in the first place.

Yeah makes sense, but why would they even change the rules in the first place! I'm going to post a set of my Yoko's for $500 on the porsche forums and see if I can get a quick sale. Let me know if you're visiting Toronto any time soon. I would have to hide em, but I don't think I could resist!

I think the RS3 forced the rule change. 140 tw tires were getting too fast.
I would have liked to get a fair kick at TMP with these 285s mounted. When I tried them they were beastly.

insane deal on the RS3s. I sold my 17in RS3s with a solid season on them for $600, and these are basically brand new.

FWIW Sigma also bumps the RS3 (200tw rule) and I believe OTA will be doing the same next year, 140tw tires will get a -7.5 pip vs the -10pip they get now. But if you are lapping these are the best tires you can run, they last forever. I dont even take mine off.

I have a feeling this is one of those things I'm selling that I will regret. lol.

storage

Dunlop tread

wear bar shot.

those rectangles in the middle of the tread are wear indicators. 2/3 still show. So I think that means more than 66% left.

RS3 tread. basically 100%. Scuffed, and ready to go.

why am I selling these. haha

Its an '06 so Im sketchy about the oil consumption. Trying frantically get my research done. Mike has the worst timing for posting his stuff for sale!

Arghhh! Well I couldnt make a deal last night at the dealer. Left wth a gaping bumhole on what they offered on trade for my roadster.

I got your PM Mike. If the buyer for the whole package flakes, let me know.

Are you willing to sell the hakooks in pairs, if of course there were someone else willing to buy the other pair?
