[Feeler] JAEWONCNC Blackbox/Dash Cam - IROAD IONE-3800FU
After all that drama with Blackvue/Pittasoft, I went on searching for alternatives.
I decided on ordering this model IROAD IONE-3800FU. JAEWONCNC is another reputable company in Korea, they were originally navigation device maker, I believe they existed since 2004 and started making blackbox since 2009. http://www.navinc.co.kr/
From what I gather they announced 2 channel model (IONE-3300CH) this summer, it did quite well being among top 3 dash cams in Korea.
They announced full HD model just last week, IROAD IONE-3800FU. From their website:
- 1080P @ 30p
- 140 wide angle lens.
- Uses Sony Exmor CMOS Sensor (6MP vs 2MP on Blackvue). Claims that improved overall image quality and night images.
- Clear mounting bracket
- Better heat dissipating case.
- Manual recording button.
- Internal battery to record last few seconds in the event there is no power at the moment of the accident.
- And all other standards feature of a dash cam such as motion/shock detection, park mode, etc.
All other features are comparable to Blackvue, however this model has wider angle with better lens.
Here are some actual videos.
I will be ordering one anyways for myself, if there is some interest I will order 5 to 10 more.
It retails for around $240 CAD.
[Update 11/22]
From the last order, the final price was.
- 3800FU + 16GB + GPS Module ----------------> $240
- 3800FU + 16GB + GPS Module + Power Kit ----> $260
I could do few more small orders if anybody else is interested.
If you are interested or have any question, leave me a post here.
