Okay I need to swap my motor because the bottom end is making a knocking noise.. its probably the bearings. Im just going to swap my engine with a used one.

My car is a 2003 Nissan 350z 6 speed

I have a couple questions.. (noobie over here)

Can I use a VQ35DE engine from a g35? If so what other modifications do I need to do? and are there any differences between the 350z motor and g35 motor?

What other cars can I get the VQ35DE engine from?

What else should I do if I'm taking the motor out??

2003-2005 G35 motors should be direct swap.

 

Ya you can use any vq 2003-2005 really. Wont cost too much either maybe $3000? Said and done.

 

I think I still have a stock bottom end sitting around at speed star.
