Default Purchasing a US Z living in Canada

I have been recently pricing out a 350Z for purchase, and noticed a large price difference between the Canadian and American suggested retail pricing.

For example, a US base Z costs $26,900 while a CDN base Z costs $45,400.

If you do the exchange rate, the price difference isn't a 1:1 ratio.

Does anyone know if it is possible for a Canadian resident to purchase a US vehicle and what duty there is on bringing it accross the border?

what's the difference between CDN and the US models (other then one has French in the owners manual)?

Know where you can get a list of modifications that have to be done to bring it into (or any other car for that matter) Canada?

Trust me... stick with the Canadian model here. It won't be worth the hassle once you factor in duty and the time you'll waste.

The Performance 350Z in Canada is the same as the Touring in the US (i.e., fully-loaded). The Touring here is the same as the US Touring with the AT. The Track is the same on both sides of the border.

Check out the specs on the Canadian and US Nissan Web sites.

You will NOT save money buying from the US and importing yourself... and if I'm wrong, I'll drink American beer for the rest of my life!

PS - You'll have NO warranty, since Nissan Canada won't warranty a US car. That alone should dissuade you.
