i saw a review that showed it has the poorest filtration of the 4 kits reviewed. here it is:

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

think this test says it all! try it if you want, but it's not going on my car...

Ummm....I think he's asking about the intake, not so much the filter.

I could only find a crappy picture of the kit.

If you don't like the foam filter, HKS makes metal filters too!

Lawn Dart thanks for the picture

Motown, i did read that page a while ago and im fully aware of the filteration property of each brand tested. I am now deciding wether i should go with aftermarket intake or just stay with stock.

The question is how are these fine particles harmful once they go thru the filter and enters the engine in a microscopic scale. In the test they did not specify what are the particles being tested (looks like carbon black?? or other fine particles)......and we will probably not have that on the road or highway( more like debris or leaf). The point is anything so tiny that can pass thru those filters must be very small......can we just neglect that?? it remains a mystery to me...so if someone can light me up.

Also i was considering buying the gruppeM.....but again i dont see how gruppeM can perform better than other brands out there....i mean the way it is designed for the Z is not very effective or maybe i m wrong.
forgive my bad english

I highly recommend staying away from foam filters. I've heard of it breaking down and getting sucked into the engine. That can't be too good. I've read this on several car forums.

Apex'i makes the best filter IMHO.
