My throttle body makes noise when it engages
I noticed this because I was trying to do the throttle position learning in hopes of fixing my low idle (under 400 rpms).
If I have the hood up so it's easier to hear and goose the go pedal, the throttle body makes a noise as it opens. Engine noise drowns out any other noise beyond the initial.
Is it normal for the throttle body to make a noise as it engages? I'm wondering of I have a bunk throttle body, which is causing my low idle.
Can someone please go pop their hood (preferably in a garage) and goose their engine to see if they can hear a sound when the plate initially opens? Thanks,

Of course it is going to make a noise. You are suddenly allowing air to rush past the throttle plate and through the throttle body. I don't know where that "engage" word came from. The amount you hit the throttle pedal determines how much the throttle plate in the middle of the throttle body opens. Idle problems are normally related to idle control valves and vaccuum leaks.
