"Below is the current recall information for your 2003 Nissan 350Z"

etc etc

I think it's only for early 2003 models. Mine was built in aug 2002

update:

had them put the plugs in

had the engine light reset, but it came back on after about 2 min

he thought it was my JWT cams or just the combination of parts I have

As far as the spark plugs, well I had my Nismo exhaust put on so that's gonna probably have an effect on my butt dyno assuming it's sensitive enough to notice anyway. From what I can tell though the car feels about the same except has the Nismo growl.

It was sorta funny, at the dealership everyone commented on my car who drove it. I got a free tank of premium gas (tell the guy you need premium for any of you getting free gas cause they don't normally put it in - even for new cars!- grrr) even the gas guy came back asking me "what engine do you have in that thing? Cause it's FAST"

I'll need another couple days to give a better review cause all I've done was drive off to work and highway was too crowded to do much.

Do you have test pipes. Did the dealership hook it up to the scanner to see what code was being tripped?

don't have test pipes yet - still have crawfords

i really think it's the tilton and UR pulley - possibly in combination with the JWT cams, either way I'll live with the light or learn to drive smoother

I have a pair of kinetix resonated pipes, just trying to decide to put em in or not

alright now that I've driven my car for a bit, I think the plugs help a little. I'm not 100% sure as far as how good they'll be for the engine over time, but so far I actually think the car drives at least a little smoother down low with the new spark plugs.

and BTW, the nismo exhaust is just AWESOME! OMG it's evil sounding! Just had it put in. I still have the borla for sale if anyone is interested...

similar stuff here -- i frequently get SES lights, only after the tilton install... but as with sentry, it only happens when i don't drive right

VDC is permanently off and i'm still wearing out that stock LSD -- looks like i'm going to have to ship a cusco to 350evo and invest in a pumpkin swap (of course, the 3.9's will go on as well)

every time i read the SES code i get a cylinder misfire, usually #2... i think it's just that the engine is wondering why the heck its stalling so much and is throwing a random code... it most often occurs when i'm trying to slip the clutch while launching if i'm stuck in stop & go traffic (the nightmare for someone with a tilton)... squeeks a lot, but at least no smoke after a couple miles bumper to bumper

i as well have the rough idle and random hiccups (louder booms once every couple seconds)... and yes, the nismo sounds ultra-evil!

as for smoothing the idle, i think i'm going to go with an engine dampner and new grounding cables... i know they don't do much, but i'm just looking to calm the car down a bit at a stop

well the recall turns out to be a false alarm

turns out it's one of the dealerships here just want to get people into their dealership via email in hopes of having something else they can work on.

That recall really only has to do with maximas and muranos i think it was

I read a couple threads on the recall and it's bogus.
