I still say get the cusco from adam it goes for about 1050.00 shipped. This is a good price no one else will beat !

And yes you have to purchase additional parts ie two stub axles and a few other parts adam gets you everything you need for installation. Approx.200.00 or so. You have to by these extra parts whether you get the nismo or the cusco. The nismo comes with a few little parts included that dont add up to very much money.

I have never used a nismo lsd so I wont say anything derog. but I can tell you this: I wouldnt trade my cusco for anything. Any other cusco owner will tell you the same especially the racers

There is a reason the cusco costs more is its a better unit

the NISMO unit comes with the required stub axles. If I am not mistaken the Cusco & NISMO are the same item.

The nismo does not come with stub axles. It is set up for Zs that already had a viscous lsd. You have to get axles and some other parts if you have a base model. You are mistaken.

Poizen, You are mistaken. I have a NISMO LSD it came with the stub axles. Don't believe me go here and check out perfomance Nissans photo, you will see two stub axles.

Let me be the first to say I am retarded. I was told it didnt come with stub axles. That is a great deal 820.00 plus shipping.

How can they sell the nismo for this amount and it includes stub axles ? I still have major concerns on the quality of the nismo compared to the cusco.

Huge difference in price. I think the nismo is more for the street and thd cusco is more for the track.

I know for sure the cusco comes with no other parts and its 1050.00 shipped.

I believe the LSD from the Nismo kit is a Cusco.

if you already have the stock LSD what difference would the nismo/cusco give you? speed/power?

The stock LSD tends to not work so well under high power levels. IE Forced Induction. The nismo LSD will provide more consistent locking characteristics and can be adjusted to set intial lockup..

Can you make the lockup % change on the nismo without getting into the pumpkin ? I read something about adjustments being easy to make on the nismo.

This is what makes me think the nismo and the cusco are not the same unit. Anyone know for sure ?

Yes you can change it but its not THAT easy. You have to remove one of the axels then remove a cover bolt and insert a very long breaker bar.

What about NA with minimal mods? Is there an advantage of swapping out the stock LSD?

There's an advantage to swapping out the LSD even with few mods. The LSD will help with traction, and will greatly help how the car transfers power in the turns. You don't need mods to put an LSD in and imporove the car a little. It sure helps with mods and makes it more fun tho

I got my Nismo LSD from Performance over the summer. BIIIIIGGG Difference over stock. I have mine set at the low setting and am about ready to go up a step. Worth every penny, you realy feel it going out of a turn. As for adjusting it, I think Jeff at Performance says their guys change the settings in like 15 minutes.
