How are they rebadging a JUN kit when the JUN is a 3.8???

Here's my 2 cents: My advice is to wait and see what powerplant the 2007 Infiniti Skyline GT-R will have. The info should be available by 2006. Spy photos in the Feb. 2005 edition of "Sport Compact Car" magazine show the 2007 Infiniti Skyline (pg. 40-41). It has Infiniti badging (which does not exist in Japan) and left-hand drive. It is definitely coming to the U.S!

Current debates about its powerplant concern the Q45's VK45DE, 4.5L, DOHC 32-valve V8 vs. a twin-turbocharged version of the 3.5L VQ35DE V6. The editors of "Sport Compact Car" believe it will be the forced-induction version of the VQ35DE. If this turns out to be true, there may be a conversion kit for our 350Z's to turn them into twin-turbo's. It will likely involve a lower compression ratio, which means new rods and pistons, a new or reflashed ECU, etc., but it will be well-researched, engineered, and likely warrantied.

I know this thread is about N/A power, but I assume that's because you're looking for increased power w/o decreased reliability or longevity. This may be your answer--though it's a couple of years away.

i had a similar quest for 300rwhp n/a. i have a mercedes c32 amg right now but am considering a 350z. i will get the 350z if near 300rwhp is feasible on 91 pump gas. on the top-end i would like it to be faster than my c32, which has beaten several different e46 m3's consistently

i was thinking:

crawford headers
aps or crawford plenum
aps full true dual exhaust system
tomei 268 cams
technosquare ecu
350evo throttle body
unorthodox racing pullies
k&n typhoon intake...

then - 350evo 3.917 gears, and tilton clutch/flywheel combo.

can this net super low 13's in the quarter or about 300rwhp?

it should get you what you're after

I have that exact setup except a nismo exhaust and JWT cams.

My A/F is all messed up now so my ECU is retarding my timing in a crazy way so I still can't say exactly what rwhp numbers it'll put down until it's fixed.

I'll go to the drag strip as soon as my car is tuned and post my times

That's what I was going to say, the AEBS and JUN don't even stroke to the same size.

The 3.9 gears, Tilton, test pipes, Pulley and ECU will get you 13.38/103 or at least it did for me.

This is a pretty good list, but I would add:

Crawford HF cats or test pipes of choice
I would do the Injen Intake instead of K&N

You would be very close to if not over 300rwhp and your 1/4 mile times with some good tires would be into the 12s with good driving.
