Sorry about that. I was wondering why you hadn't posted it yet. With all the help you give in this forum you deserve to be the first to post significant info.

Keep up the good work.

Does anybody have any ballpark idea what this twin turbo may go far? It might be something I want to save up for. How is Greddy's quality?
Thanks.

You read it right, GReddy is prototyping a bolt-on twin-turbo system for the new Z car. GReddy engineers have already sorted out plumbing and manifolding, basing the turbo system on their 18G turbocharger. "If the tuning works out, this kit should make it to full production," Mike Chung of GReddy tells us. Also new is GReddy's E-01 multitasking controller. The E-01 serves function as a boost controller, data display/data logger and can be integrated with GReddy's E-Manage system.

This does sound like some real good news to those that are looking for extra power.

Lets see what the price tag is though

I was reading, and it looks like a dual exhaust is also on the car.

I wonder what kind of number ( HP ) that will add

My guess is it's putting out ~400-420 HP, but I gotta think the stock clutch would be overwhelmed with that amount of power.

Figure about $6000 for the turbo kit, sans intercooler, which is another $1000+

Let's see what HKS & Blitz! come up with. I haven't heard much from Blitz! as of yet, but I'll keep digging

I think it always was, anyone that didnt first see the Z and put an intercooler in that hole wasnt thinking hard enough.

12000$ is a tad pricey, not saying its wrong, I just mean I cant justify that kinda paper for when people are estimating 150hp tops. 6000 I would definitly start saving. tho of course, swap the turbos redo the internals. and that kit will have you at 6, 7, for those with the gonads of unbreakable steel maybe even 800hp. of course I mean with ALOT of internal work, properly done, all tuned correctly. there is no reason a 3.5 liter engine cant produce 1000hp, it would just become a massive money pool at that point tho. but 450 isnt even scratching this engines surface.(unless that open head block hurts it, then a new block might be nescessary, and that could put a damper on things.

I concur, ares...swap in some larger ball bearing turbos, larger intercooler, stronger internals and crank the boost up and it's in fixed-up Supra (700-1000hp) territory easy...

uh... no. the supras inline-6 layout, much like the Skylines inline-6 layout, helps it get up into that stupidly overpowered territory. like the older 300zx, high HP is improbable due to the engine layout. besides, wtf do you need 700+hp for, anyways?

Wait...my bad...but, why wouldn't I not want 700+ on tap when I need it? 700 at the flywheel is not bad, but I agree 700 at the wheels would be a little to extreme...you may be right, but we shall see...
