with an safc-ii, what happens when your battery is disconnected? does it lose it's changes?

 

I would imagine that it would keep the map since it stores it on a flash menory card. It would be like those little pen drives that you use for your computer. Your best bet would be to call the manufacturer and ask them.

yup, it's stored. i actually just installed a used on today on a friend's evo, and it still had its settings (needless to say it threw the check engine light). had to "reinitialize" it to get everything back to factory specs.
