Default 36k Maintenance?

I recently passed the 36k mile marker! While I have learned a lot over the past several years about my car (mostly from this forum), one thing I am not confident about is "preventative" maintenance!

I do all the common things -- check tire pressure, change oil, etc, at regular intervals...but as my car hits higher mileage, I am always afraid there is something I'm missing!

So I guess my question is...when do I need to replace things like spark plugs, timing belts, etc?

Thanks in advance!

The spark plugs do not need to be changed until 105,000 miles and the VQ35 does not have a timing belt. It has a chain. Change your air filter every 30k and I think we've covered it all!

Look at your service manual and take note of all the things that need to be done at 30K. Did you do those things?

Should be things like...

Change Oil and Filter
Change Air Filter
Change In Cabin Microfilter
Flush Coolant
Flush Brake Fluid
Change Tranny Fluid
Change Diff Fluid
Rotate Tires
and a whole lot of inspections....

Ok, I looked it up this time.

Every 7,500 miles:
Change your oil and the oil filter

Every 15,000 miles:
Inspect thee brake lines & cables, brake pads & rotors, and the transmission fluid & differential gear oil.

Every 30,000 miles:
Replace the engine air filter
Inspect the fuel system vapor lines and the fuel lines for leaks
Inspect the steering gear linkage, axles, suspension, and exhaust system.

Every 60,000 miles:
Replace the engine coolant, then after inital replacement at 60k miles, replace the coolant every 30k miles
Inspect drive belts, if found undamaged, inspect every 15k miles

Every 105,000 miles
Replace spark plugs (platinum type)

Basically, you are closest to 37,500 miles. Change your oil and filter.

I have an aftermarket air filter which I clean frequently. My brakes are fine and I plan to redo them soon anyhow (new front brakes, new rear rotors and pads).

I do need to tighten the belts a little bit, as well as change the oil. I am just glad to know that I am not missing anything serious, and that I don't need to do anything like the spark plugs for some time
