Default UR pulley

I was told that if you buy just the crank pulley, theres no need to change the belt, if i got the whole set i would. But from my understanding the other pulleys are the same just "colored."

Just another question. Why is it neccesary to step on the brakes while taking off the pulley?

you'll need new belts, even for just the crank pully. It's smaller so the old belts will be too big and can't be made any tighter. you need to put your foot on the brake because the crank will try and rotate as you pull like hell on it.

You will need new belts with the new crank pulley.
we sell them on our site, and they are in stock....

to answer your question of stepping on the brakes. this is done with the car in gear so when you loosen the crank bolt the motor won't turn over allowing you to get the bolt off. you will also need to do this to tighten the crank bolt to specified torque!

nope...not needed

if your belts squeal, they are not torqued properly

Who else? I've been wondering the same thing myself, and I'm getting a split answer, either "YES you will need it" or "NO WAY!"

For those of you that didn't use a pulley remover, how DID you get yours off? Is the pulley actually pressed onto crankshaft(like most harmonic balancers are) or does it just have a lip that holds it to the crank(like most pulleys do that attach to a harmonic balancer)?
Any help is appreciated..thanks

from what i hear, it can depend on when you do the swap. most likely if its less than 7000miles you probably wont need it.
