Anyone have trouble or know of owners having trouble with the synchros on the 6 speed transmission? I have third gear synchro going out. Are there any after market upgrades available for the transmission. Also, I heard of a limited slip rear end available. Anyone have information on this?

There is an updated synchro from Nissan. It should work better than the old one.

 

Goto mynismo.com or 350evo.com. Search for what you want.

Also, use search function here-it helps alot.

 

I assume your Z is out of warranty, otherwise, Nissan should address it for you. They did for me and replaced with all new parts.

They replaced mine...but it was for second gear.

 

mine was replaced for 3rd and 6th

 

Does anyone know who makes our transmission?? I have heard that Getrag makes it, but then people say that Nissan makes its.
